Greetings storied being,
When the fires burn....
When the water floods…
When the bombs fall…
We experience the moment.
And as Storytellers— we also see a chapter in a larger story, we read the symbolic expression, we see a mythic reality playing out through symbol and metaphor, and as we walk through the story, we also act as guide for others, steering them through the journey.
When the rainbows arc…
When the clouds break…
When the birds sing…
Then we take our needle and thread (or computer) and begin the work of meaning-making, weaving together threads that help integrate the experience, provide context, and perhaps even incorporate wisdom from other stories we carry—stories meant to guide us through such times.
Making sense of our time--
is the work
of the storytellers
The nature of the tool we use
brings people together
This is a time when Sacred Storytellers are needed more than ever-- people who are committed to being wayshowers through the rubble and the chaos of the moment, and have the skills to provide context, humor, wisdom, wonder, and beauty to every story they tell.
As someone who lives in a community that was touched by the LA fires, I am here as a testament to the power of community.
Community—a being composed of individual cells that, when joined together, become a single entity. It requires time and presence to develop, gradually building until it forms strong bonds capable of catching, holding, and lifting you up.
This is an invitation
to experience a Creative Community....
that is playing with, exploring, and making meaning of the stories of our time.
We come together 3 times a month to create, dream, listen, and reflect... together.
Our next Soul Story Council is TODAY, 11am PST
Feb 4th, 10amPST / 1pm EST
