Hello Lovely Human,

My name is Leah Lamb and I’ve been greeting lovely humans through a newsletter since 2012. What a treat to come play in this treasure box! I'm a writer and storyteller who can’t stop quoting the voices I hear in wild nature. I’ve been sitting behind a computer for the last 7 years connecting with a global community through The School for Sacred Storytelling. But before that, I was a wilderness guide in Alaska, Utah, Arizona, and Montana, an actress in NYC, and I stopped all the fun and got an MSW for this simple reason: I really wanted to be part of the healing and restoration of this planet. At first I figured we can’t heal the earth if we can’t heal ourselves.

And then I figured if people just had the right information, that we could make better choices. Now I believe it has little to do with information, and everything to do with storytelling— and the more stories that speak this simple truth, Earth is our healer, and the more aligned we become with our humanity, the more aligned we are with Earth.

I believe the act of being a conscious creator in these times and treating storytelling as a sacred act is one of the things that brings harmony to our planet. Now I travel around the world producing Sacred Storytelling Ceremonies reminding people of this ancient art form. I write about love, the journey of sacred storyteller, and do my best to bring in the teachings from the old stories to help us make sense of these times. I have published short stories, have an audio program on Sacred Storytelling published by Sounds True, and recorded many audio short stories. I love traveling, and weaving the people I meet along the way. I know it’s a good day when I notice the miracle of life, and that is essentially what I attempt to do every time I come to this place to meet you.

A whale looked me in the eye a long time ago… and I’ve been strangely obsessed with the largest animal on earth you’ll never get to cuddle ever since.

I’d love for you to join me. And I love to hear your thoughts and wonderings. ❤️ Leah

What Will You Find Here?

Story is the oldest medicine I know. I listen for the mythic threads that have become tangled or lost, and weave them back into the great story of our time. Engaging story as a gateway for understanding the greater mysteries of the world, as a tool for connection, and for quantum leaps in growth is one of the ways I love to play.

I love the process of reanimating the archetype of the Sacred Storyteller, and bringing this to life through teaching, guiding story ceremonies, bringing someone’s Soul Story alive, and though listening.

Here I share essays and reflections on the art of living great stories… and do my best to engage as the old storytellers did, as a guide through these times.

I’m obsessed with whales— and wrote a book called, The Whale Dreamer that is coming out this year. You’ll definitely hear about whales.
